Our farm department aims to provide an up-to-date, proactive and affordable veterinary service to its’ farm clients.
We have four vets specialising in farm work who can offer routine herd fertility visits with the use of ultrasound examination for both pregnancy diagnosis and fertility problems, as well as discussing and implementing dairy, beef and sheep health planning and preventative medicine planning. Mastitis investigations into individual cow and herd problems are regularly undertaken. Bull fertility investigations can also be performed on farm.
All general farm work on Dairy, Beef, Sheep and Pig units is carried out with particular reference to herd/flock health care as well as more specialist procedures like ram fertility examination, vasectomies and elective caesareans. Most work is carried out on farm but some sheep and calf work can be done at the surgery.
A monthly newsletter is sent out to our farm clients highlighting seasonal topics, special offers and forthcoming events – look out for the farm client meetings and talks we hold throughout the year.
XL Vets UK Ltd
In Spring 2005, the practice joined forces with 30 other veterinary practices around the UK to form XL Vets, a new national marketing group dedicated to helping British livestock farmers face up to the many and varied challenges within the industry. This enables us to share the latest ideas and resources as well as passing on expertise and savings to our clients.
One of the major benefits to our regular clients is that the cost of their POM drugs will reduce considerably (equivalent to internet prices). We are able to offer these savings through both purchase of medicines and prompt payment. Therefore, in return we ask for prompt payment from clients who wish to take advantage of these prices, i.e full payment of account before the 21st of the following month.
“We as a practice are committed to the farming community and realise that we both need to stay in business to survive so by supporting each other we have the best chance of moving forward”.
If you would like to take up this offer please get in touch with Steve Glanvill at the surgery on 01608 730085 or mobile: 07831 440125. Once the signed agreement has been received the discount prices will be implemented.
