Bull and Ram Fertility Testing
In many respects, the bull/ram is the most important animal on farm being responsible for 50% of the genetic make-up of each annual calf/lamb crop.
It is estimated 20% of bulls/rams are sub-fertile at any one time. We, therefore, recommend our Breeding Soundness Assessments which involve a full physical examination +/- semen evaluation if needed. Animals should be checked pre-breeding, after newly arriving on farm and of course any suspect animals during the breeding season. Discounts are available for testing multiple animals at the same time. We can do rams at the surgery to save a visit to farm.
