Funding is still available that will enable us to assist you with farm animal health and welfare improvements across your herds and flocks. You can claim assistance each year, so please don’t forget to get your code for this year!

New additional support is available to help control and eradicate certain endemic diseases. As part of this new support, farmers will be able to claim funding each year based on the following rates:
> £923 for pigs
> £639 for sheep
> £215 for cattle with no BVD
> £837 for beef cattle where BVD is present in the herd
The animal health and welfare pathway payments will be in addition to the funding farmers receive for doing the animal health and welfare review. This new support is not currently available for dairy cattle. This part of the service will be available soon.
You will need to have the animal health and welfare pathway review before you can claim this new funding, enabling you to build on the review’s actions and address other diseases on the farm.
