The HNVG farm team provides a complete veterinary service for all farm animals. We strive to deliver a friendly and professional service to ensure the very best for animal health and welfare – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The farm department has grown over the last 30 years and now consists of 9 dedicated farm-only vets and 5 TB Testers/ Approved Tuberculin Testers (ATTs), 1 Vet Tech. Each vet has their own areas of special interest and knowledge, and are all encouraged to push for prevention rather than cure. 3 of our TB testing vets are now official TB advisors and can be booked for FREE on-farm visits to discuss biosecurity, cattle trading and housing. Our aim is to try and help you control and prevent TB on your holdings.
Building close relationships with our clients is very important and will hopefully ensure we have a positive impact on the profitability and efficiency of their businesses.
You’re responsible for the welfare of any animals that you own or keep. All farm animals are protected by animal welfare legislation. The Animal Welfare Act 2006 is the principal law relating to animal welfare, protecting all vertebrate animals. Under the Act, owners and keepers have a duty of care to their animals and must make sure they meet their needs. Follow the link for full details.
