We are no longer able to accommodate Work Experience and EMS placements before September 2026, as we are now fully booked. Please complete this form ONLY if you wish to book a placement after September 2026 and during 2027.
Applications for dates outside the dates stated above will not receive a response.
All placements take place at our Hook Norton Hospital. Priority is given to work experience students who live locally, although we do accept applications from students further afield. Please be aware that placements require you to be on site by 7:45 am each morning.
Demand for both Work Experience and EMS placements is high. We are only able to accommodate applications from:
A-level students actively pursuing a career in veterinary medicine
Students who have completed their GCSEs and plan to study Veterinary Nursing or an Animal Care course
We also strongly recommend that the applicant completes their own application form, rather than a parent or guardian.
Work Experience placements are for one week only, and Vet Student EMS placements are for a maximum of two weeks. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate longer placements, so please do not request them.
All Work Experience applicants are required to attend an interview at our Hook Norton surgery before a placement can be confirmed.
Please note that we receive a large number of applications and, due to limited availability, not all will be successful.
Before applying, please ensure you meet the above criteria.
All applications for Work Experience and EMS should be made using the online form below. If your application falls within the dates we are currently scheduling, we aim to respond within 28 days of receipt.
