Blood Donor Registration Form

We’re looking for fit and healthy dogs to join our local Dog Blood Donor list, whose owners we can call upon when a life-saving canine donation is needed.

As well as caring for the dog requiring the donation, the health and wellbeing of the dog donating blood is also of paramount importance to our team. This is why we only accept canine blood donors that fit within certain criteria.

To be a blood donor, your dog must:
• Be fit and healthy
• Be aged between 1 and 8 years
• Weigh more than 25kg
• Have a good temperament
• Be relaxed in a veterinary environment
• Have never travelled abroad
• Be vaccinated
• Not be on any medication
• Never have received a blood transfusion
• Ideally neutered but if entire never to have previously had a litter of pups or any intention of breeding from a bitch.

If your dog meets the above criteria and you are happy for them to donate, you can register to be on our blood donor list below. Our nursing team will contact you to complete your registration and if selected, your dog would need to come in to have their blood tested before they can donate.

Please note, we will need to Register you and your dog with HNVG in order for them to join our blood donor list. This does not obligate you to purchase products or services from us.
