For the month of February, our Deddington Branch is working with the Cats Protection and is running a £15 Neuter and Chip campaign.
You do not need to be registered with HNVG, but you must live in one of the following postcodes:
OX5, OX15, OX16, OX17, OX25, OX26, OX27, NN13
Why neuter your cat?
Neutering your cat will not only help reduce unwanted kittens, but it will also reduce their chances of getting many types of cancers, it will stop their spraying, and reduce the severity of fighting.
Why are we neutering cats during Lockdown?
Early on in the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, many vet practices were unable to neuter cats and kittens. With kitten season on the horizon, this could result in an estimated 84,000 extra kittens being born! (based on the number of queens Cats Protection neutered last year and if the same number were to go un-neutered this year and have two litters).
If you do not live in the postcodes mentioned above, but need a cat neutered, look at the Cats Protection website, as they may be able to offer financial assistance or find a vet in your local area, who are running the £15 neuter and chip campaign.
