Clostridia Warning

Aside from the difficult harvest, hot, dry weather and limited grass mean animals will be grazing a lot closer to the soil. Followed by intermittent heavy rainfall washing the soil to the surface, the risk of Clostridial presence is higher than ever.

Clostridial vaccines are some of the cheapest on the market and the easiest way to protect your herd or flock from an outbreak, often presenting as sudden death. Please speak to one of our Farm Vets about how this can be worked into your calendar. Any sudden deaths can be investigated with a post-mortem by one of our Farm Vets to help aid in your diagnosis.
