We often post the success stories on Facebook and Instagram, to highlight the fantastic work our vets, nurses, and support staff do, day in, day out, for all the animals under our care.
There is another side to looking after your animals, that can be heartbreaking for everyone involved. Our pet’s mean the world to us; they give us everything in the time they have with us, and although it can be difficult, we have to have their best interests at heart. This can mean we have to make extremely difficult decisions about their end of life care and euthanasia.
Lockdown made this especially tough, but where possible, we made arrangments for clients to be with their pets during their final moments.
Small Animal vet, Lydia, was greeted with a beautiful bunch of flowers, as a thank you for being so compassionate and kind during a euthanasia. More details about how we make the final moments as calm and stress-free as possible can be found on our website here. We also have links to The Blue Cross and Cats Protection, as both charities operate a confidential bereavement support service for any owner suffering grief or bereavement of a beloved pet.
