Booking is open for our last Winter Talk Series evening for the 2019/2020 dates! Equine vet Beky Eastland-Jones, will be hosting the evening and will cover a range of topics (that will hopefully calm your nerves) in what is sometimes going to be a stressful situation when it comes to equine first aid.
Some of the equine first aid topics Beky will look at include:
> Colic
> Wounds
> Bleeding
> Non weight bearing lameness
> Choke &
> Myth-busting
For the second half of the night we are excited to reveal that ALR training and Event Medical Services will be talking to us about first aid dilemmas that we as riders may come across, such as falls, head, neck and back trauma.
ALR Event Medical Services provide training days as well as event medical cover.
They have highly experienced NHS trained medics and paramedics that provide medical cover for all types of events, including equine events.
This makes them uniquely placed to talk to us about their experiences and what we should do, should something happen to us whilst we are out riding our horses.
