In-house Laboratory

We are proud to have an in-house laboratory with state of the art machines that can analyse your pet’s blood any time of the day. In emergency situations, we can have some results within as little as 15 minutes from the time the blood sample is taken. This can be life-saving in certain cases.

Our lab is staffed by fully qualified Bio-Medical Scientists, and our nurses are also trained in microscopy to look at blood smears, skin scrapes or fluid samples, and perform urinalysis.

All these test results are uploaded onto your pet’s records and aid vets in the diagnosis and treatment of your pet. We also have an overnight courier service to send samples to a specialist external laboratory should additional tests be needed. Vets communicate the results directly to owners so that a discussion can be had as to what the results mean for your pet.
