Ultrasonography

Ultrasonography provides exceptional images of the internal organs of pets of all sizes. Ultrasonography is a valuable non-invasive way of diagnosing multiple problems in your pets ranging from heart disease and blockages in the gut to tumours and internal infections. Many animals do not even require sedation as they tend to lie settled when placed on a comfy bed with a nurse to reassure them.

Our machine is also equipped with Doppler, which allows blood flow through the heart to be assessed.

An ultrasound machine is essential in modern veterinary practice, and ours is available 24/7. Many emergencies require its use to aid diagnosis and treatment. All images collected are saved as a clinical record for future reference.

One of the most common uses for ultrasonography is pregnancy diagnosis and all of the staff love it when we have a positive scan!
