XLVets

XLVets | Independent Veterinary Care at Hook Norton Veterinary Group

At Hook Norton Veterinary Group, we’re proud to be one of the founder members of XLVets – a community of independently owned veterinary practices working together to provide exceptional veterinary care across the UK.

As an independent mixed veterinary practice, we care for small animals, horses and farm animals across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and the surrounding counties. Being part of XLVets means we can combine the personal service of a local practice with the knowledge, innovation and support of a nationwide network of independent veterinary professionals.

What is XLVets?

XLVets is a community of independently owned veterinary practices that share knowledge, expertise and best practice while remaining locally owned and managed.

Unlike corporate veterinary groups, every XLVets practice retains its independence. Clinical decisions are made by the vets caring for your animals, ensuring every recommendation is based on what is best for the patient.

By working together, XLVets practices share ideas, develop new approaches to animal healthcare and invest in ongoing training, helping to continually raise standards across the profession.

Why does being part of XLVets matter?

Choosing an independent veterinary practice doesn’t mean compromising on expertise.

As part of XLVets, our vets have access to a network of experienced veterinary professionals across the UK. We regularly collaborate, share knowledge and learn from one another to ensure we’re providing the highest standard of care for every patient.

For our clients, this means you benefit from:

• A proudly independent veterinary practice with local decision-making.
• Access to the shared expertise of a nationwide network of independent practices.
• Continuous professional development and advanced training for our veterinary teams.

Proudly Independent

At Hook Norton Veterinary Group, independence is central to who we are.

We believe that veterinary care is about building lasting relationships with our clients and providing trusted advice that puts animal welfare first. Remaining independent allows us to make decisions based on the needs of our patients, our clients and our local community.

Being part of XLVets strengthens that commitment by giving us access to shared knowledge, resources and clinical expertise while allowing us to remain the independent practice our clients know and trust.
