“I was taught to love and respect animals by my mother from the moment I was born. My best friend was our ginger cat, Tiger, my ‘playmate’ from 3 months old was my Grandmother’s springer spaniel puppy and my first memory, at 4 years old, is picking up our first family dog. I’m sure I had visited every animal charity centre in England by the time I left school! I now have children of my own and am proud to tell them that my job involves helping both animals and their owners.
I never wanted to be anything other than a vet and would spend my Friday nights as a teenager helping out at the local cat rescue centre. I am lucky that I love science and using my diagnostic skills to work out what is wrong with animals gives me a real sense of achievement. My special interests are diagnostic investigations (including ultrasonography), feline medicine, for which I have a certificate, and soft tissue surgery. I love going to work knowing that every day is different”.
I am passionate about providing minimally invasive options for diagnostics and surgery for our patients and have a extra qualifications in endoscopy and endosurgery.
