Sam Potter

Sam grew up in south Oxfordshire and developed a passion for farm animal production and the veterinary sector from a young age. Both Sam’s father and uncle were farm animal vets, which inspired him to pursue the career of a veterinary surgeon. After first completing a Business Degree in Bristol Sam qualified from Szent Istvan Veterinary University, Hungary and spent the first 3 years in a mixed practice in Bedfordshire.

Sam then joined Hook Norton Veterinary Group in 2014 in order to specialise in his passion for farm animal medicine. In September 2019 Sam became a partner where he can utilise his business degree as well as his veterinary experience to help drive the practice forward and ensure HNVG continues to provide a high level of care and service to its rural community. Whilst Sam enjoys all aspects of farm practice he particularly enjoys working closely with commercial Dairy, Beef and Sheep clients in the pursuit of better productivity and animal health.

When not working Sam spends time with his family and friends as well as travelling and playing golf.
