The Big Farming Tea-Break 2024

February 14, 2024 | by charlotte.haines@hooknortonvets.co.uk | Equine Farm Pets

On Thursday 15th February, we will proudly be supporting this years The Big Farming Tea-break in conjunction with LEN’S LIGHT, a legacy for Len Eadon, shining a light on mental health issues in the rural community and raising funds to support charities tackling these issues.
We will have cakes and tasty goodies in the Large Animal reception (the ‘Farm Shop’) of our Hook Norton branch, so please pop in and give generously.
Donations will be donated to the Farm Safety Foundation – Yellow Wellies
Andy and Lynda’s son, Len, took his own life two years ago and since then the couple have been campaigning to raise awareness of mental health in rural areas. The 14th February 2024 would also have been Len’s 25th birthday. On this poignant day they want to highlight the legacy that they are leaving in his name, to help future Young Farmers and the industry that he loved.
#TheBigFarmingTeaBreak is running for a week-long campaign, which coincides with Mind Your Head Week, which takes place from 12-16 February. So if you can’t make it to use on Thursday, please pop into your local livestock market, Young Farmers meeting, universities or colleges, or anywhere else supporting this fantastic cause and talk.
