Many of you will sell finished stock at market or send animals directly to slaughter. These animals will then frequently be exported into the EU. Since leaving the EU, we must now certify that vets are regularly on-farm in order to meet their regulations.
This takes the form of a Veterinary Health Attestation (VHA), which we will incorporate into your herd health plan from now on. In order to sign this for you, we need to have been on-farm in the last 12 months. The Veterinary Health Attestation is required from 13th December 2023 to certify exports of Products of Animal Origin to the EU. If you’ve had a health plan in the last few months and require a VHA, please contact us so we can send one over. Otherwise, please book your health plans at 12-month intervals to ensure you are covered.
If you have any questions on veterinary health attestation or would like to book your health plan, please contact one of the Farm Vets. T: 01608 730 085
