After months of continual change and adaption to COVID-19, we have decided on a new course of action, a ‘new normal’. From Monday the 20th of July, clients attending Small Animal appointments will be allowed in the consultation room with the vet.
The safety of our staff and you, our clients, is of paramount importance, which is why the following measures will be in place.
> Only clients with an appointment will be allowed into the building, providing you wear a facemask.
Wearing a facemask will be obligatory for clients inside the practice. If you own a facemask, please wear it. If you need a facemask, there will be a £0.50p +VAT charge per mask, which are available from reception*.
> Upon arrival, please let reception know you have arrived via the window, and wait in your vehicle. There will be no waiting room, and you will be called into the consulting room when the vet is ready to see you.
> Once the appointment is complete, the vet will direct you to the reception desk, where you can complete your transaction and collect any required medications. If you prefer, you can also do this outside.
Inside the practice, along with ample hand sanitiser, we have in place 2m distancing from our reception desk, directional arrows, signs and floor stickers to help with the flow of people and to continually remind clients to stand 2m apart where possible. Our toilets will still be unavailable.
Farm & Equine Reception will not be open to clients and will continue to use the window for on-sight communications and the current collection system for prescription orders.
*If you do not wish to enter the practice or do not want to wear a facemask, the current system, whereby your pet is collected from your vehicle, will still be in place.
Any updates to this protocol will be published here on our website and social media pages, we will try to give as much notice as possible to further protocol changes.
