Vet practices across the country face increasing pressure due to staff shortages and the huge surge in pet ownership. The Pet Food Manufacture’s Association calculated in its most recent survey that roughly 3.2 million households acquired a pet since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses, just like the NHS, triage cases, meaning life-threatening emergencies are seen first. New ways of working introduced during the pandemic have meant we have had to adapt and re-master the art of effectively managing routine appointments alongside emergency cases. Meaning, you may have to wait an extra few days for less urgent cases and routine appointments. Our 15-minute consultation slots mean our vets and nurses have the time to talk to you without rushing and can assess your pet thoroughly, evaluating and treating any potential issues.
How you can help:
If, for any reason, you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please let us know. Contact us if you need to reschedule, as this allows your space to be given to another pet needing treatment.
Our team are working as hard as they can to ensure all patients continue to receive the highest standard of care. Please bear with us if you are unable to book routine appointments on the same day, we will fit you in, but other cases may take priority.
Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding.
